in not a professional vinyls applier... the crome effect looks good, the vinyl is quite stretchable as when you remove the protection ply it's even more easy to apply... using a heat gun is not always a good idea because it's going to produce more wrinkles... but it depends by the shape... my object was quite complex is a back light from a vintage vespa... after couple of trials is getting better.
